Our language school is located next to the cathedral gardens (in the centre of the lively social life of Malaga), at only a 10 minutes’ walking distance from the beach, in a stunning 19th century building with bright and ample classrooms full of light and life.

Surrounded by monuments, restaurants and cafeterias where you can have breakfast with your teachers, or taste the delicious spanish “tapas”, or get involved in the bussle of the social and night life (the famous “movida”) of Malaga in its terraces, pubs, cinemas, theatres, CILE is a school with a familiar atmosphere where the student is not alone and integrates himself in the real Spanish daily life through a broad social programme in company with the Spaniards.

Learn Spanish in Malaga

Costa del Sol is a 150 km long coastline bordered by calm waters, a permanent blue sky, and beautiful beaches on one side, and hills, mountains, lakes, forests and traditional villages, towns and historical cities on the other. Málaga is the capital of this lovely region. It enjoys an extraordinary mild climate, with an average temperature throughout the year of about 22 C and 330 sunny days.

Malaga was founded by the Phoenicians, and has been a Roman colony and a Moorish city. All of this is reflected in its many monuments like the Roman theatre, the Arab Alcazaba, and its museums, among them the important Picasso Museum of Málaga.

Our language school in Málaga offers a varied and exciting social activity programme for the students.

GET-TOGETHER:
Meetings where you can practice your Spanish in a relaxed atmosphere, and have the opportunity to talk to students from other countries. We meet at school, in bars or at the beach.

GUIADED VISITS & EXCURSIONS:
Theatre and cinema visits, concerts, talks and discussions on special aspects of life in the host country, visits to museums and monuments and excursions to other cities will introduce you to Spain and its people.

PRESENTATIONS OF FILMS, etc.
Our students also have books and daily newspapers at their disposal in the students’ common room. In our video library they can find a rich variety of programmes: movies, news, documentaries about different aspects of Spanish life etc..

LEARN TO DANCE “SEVILLANAS”, 2 hours per week free-of-charge
Sevillanas is believed to be an old Castilian folk dance (Seguidilla) and did not originate from Seville as its name suggests.
It is a very popular dance for couples of all ages. You will see it danced frequently by girls in their colourful dresses at the time of the Málaga’s feria in august (Feria de agosto).
In our afternoon dancing course you can learn the flamenco dance “sevillanas”, thus participating in one of the most popular expressions of Spanish life.

Spanish courses in Malaga

Our Spanish language courses are designed to make our students feel confident in daily use of the language in all kinds of social situations.

Teaching is based on modern methods and equipment. In addition to up-to-date text books, our school has developed own study material to give more variety to the courses.

From the first day on Spanish is the only language spoken in class.

To assure the highest efficiency groups are kept very small (max. 8 students).

Course levels

On the first day of school, students who already have some previous knowledge of Spanish will be level-tested to ensure correct placement from the beginning. Lessons start immediately after the test. All levels are offered from Beginners to Advanced. Our 6 levels follow the European Framework of Reference for Languages and the guidelines of Instituto Cervantes. Students completing their courses successfully will be granted the diploma and academic report which certifies the type of course, the number of hours studied and the level of proficiency attained.

Guarantee of Quality
Our Spanish courses are accredited with the CEELE, a main quality certification for Spanish as a foreign language. Our qualified and experienced language teachers are young, native Spaniards, who all hold degrees in Spanish philology.

Family accommodation
One of the best ways to get to know a country and its language is by living with one of our carefully selected Spanish families.
Students of all ages are encouraged to participate in this opportunity, as it provides an invaluable source of Spanish instruction as well as a wonderful interpersonal experience.
Students can choose between single and double room, half-board and full-board. Double rooms are available only for a couple or 2 friends.

Shared flats
An alternative to family accommodation is living in fully equipped apartments, in single or double rooms, together with other students, enjoying privacy and independance.
Shared flats are good value for money and are a good basic level of accommodation. Each self-catering apartment has 3-5 bedrooms (single and double/twin), a comfortable living room and a fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom is shared between students who are following a Spanish course with us.
By living together with other students from all over the world, you will be able to make friends quickly and talk to them in Spanish after your Spanish lessons are finished!
Apartments are located within walking distance of the school (max. 10 min and 15 min in summer).
